Fulford-Academy-Robotics-Competition

One of our sister schools in Turkey invited six of our best and brightest students to accompany them to a robotics championship held in Houston, Texas, between April 17-20, 2019. To go along with the robotics competition the students also took this opportunity to visit Johnson Space Center, the headquarters of NASA. NASA is also a primary sponsor of the FIRST Robotics competition and there were many current astronauts at the competition either leading seminars, as judges, or just visiting.

To cap off the competition, the finals were held at Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros Major League baseball team. There were awards, guest speakers, and of course the finals of the robotics competition that went down to the final second. At the end of the night the roof of the building opened up and there was a fantastic fireworks display.
