Fulford Academy’s Assistant Head of School,¬†Scott Murray was interviewed recently on the set of FYI, a TV show which features local happenings in the Brockville Ontario, Canada area. Doreen Barnes is the host of FYI, and in this interview segment, Doreen and Scott spoke about Fulford Academy’s programs and academic approach, centered around STEM+A and coding.

Spotlight on Coding Programs

Fulford Academy offers coding education to students all the way down to Grade 2 in our after school coding camp programs. Students learn to code through a program named Scratch, which helps students perform certain tasks in a very user-friendly way.

Fulford Academy offers day school and weekday boarding for local students from Grade 6-12, with a curriculum that focuses on STEM+A (science, technology, engineering, mathematics + arts) where students work on coding projects which span across all of STEM+A, plus a teaching approach is centred around building critical thinking skills.

Fulford Academy Robotics Programs

Fulford Academy offers extensive programs which cover robotics. In the interview, Scott outlines the types of robotics that are covered at the school, teaching students about applying function and sensors to their projects.
