While it’s important for students to enjoy their secondary school experiences, it is also always important to think about their futures as they enter the world of higher education upon graduation. At Fulford Academy, students form strong bonds with their faculty, staff, and peers through small class sizes and individualized attention.

Building Values That Last Through High School and Beyond

Part of paving the way to higher education involves establishing values, habits, and goals that allow students to thrive in their academic journeys. Students at our international school in Ontario do just that, taking advantage of a multicultural experience in Canada.

Online and in Canada, students gain access to a global learning environment that cultivates inquiring minds and helps students develop their critical thinking abilities. To do this, our curriculum draws attention to both local and global issues through the application of scientific, technological, and cultural knowledge to real-world problems. This curriculum both nurtures and challenges our students to reach their full potential while embracing our three core values: Courage, Respect, and Wisdom.

Encouraged to step out of their comfort zones and participate in new experiences, students develop self-confidence, independence, and courage. With an open and supportive environment, students are able to share their cultural backgrounds with their peers and engage with diverse backgrounds to build their respect for others. Finally, through academics and student life that fosters a global-minded setting, students’ wisdom grows as they learn how to make the world a better place.

A Curriculum Curated for Post-Secondary Success

Presented with seemingly unlimited possibilities for post-secondary education, it can be overwhelming for graduating students to decide on their next step. To help students approach this big decision, we provide diverse STEM+A academics that allow them to explore various subjects to determine their likes and dislikes, strengths, and weaknesses.

The primary focus of this STEM+A curriculum is inquiry, differentiated instruction and assessment, collaboration, and project-based learning. Gaining experience with cross-curricular connections, applying their knowledge in different contexts, and addressing real-world issues helps set students up for their continued studies at their next institution, no matter where they decide to attend.
