We are having a great second half of the Spring term! In our evening clubs, many students are getting out of their comfort zone and learning new skills, while other students are continuing to improve and polish skills they already have.
Weekend Trips: Spotlight on Toronto!
Our students have been visiting many different areas of Ontario and Quebec. One highlight trip was the overnight excursion to Toronto! On the trip, students had the opportunity to enjoy a Medieval Times Feast while watching knights compete in different jousting competitions.
On the second day of their trip to Toronto, students traveled to Canada’s Wonderland and rode on all of the thrill-seeking rides at the park!
Students did a wonderful job representing Fulford Academy at our community Remembrance Day Event honouring all of Canada’s present and past soldiers.
Movember Fundraising: I Am Alive Dog and Cat Rescue
In the month of November, students donated money to a local animal rescue. Each day, students and staff would make a donation and in return, could request that another student or staff member wear a funny wig, silly shoes or a costume for a whole day. This makes it fun for students, and at the same time, contribute to a worthwhile cause.
The goal was $2000 but that was surpassed. Students proudly donated $2400.00 to “I am Alive Dog and Cat Rescue” in Brockville. We had fun and happy to contribute to a great cause!
Brockville’s Santa Claus Parade 2018
A group of students designed and decorated a Christmas Parade Float to represent Fulford Academy, which was a part of Brockville’s Santa Claus Parade. Although the night of the parade was rainy and cold, our student volunteers did not let it dampen their spirits and energy during the event!
